Here’s a quick look at all the cards and recommended ways to play with and against them.
Email is a very low-powered card that can take a point away from any other card. You (probably) won’t win any rounds with this but you can clear ties and maybe bargain with others to stay competitive.
No Quorum is a rare card that should be used wisely. Ending a session early will get progress tracked so use this card to guarantee some wins earlier than the end of a session.
OP-ED’s are a great way to show interesting points of view. Such as your opinion that a card of your choice should be worth 13 points. It’s a popular choice to just turn this card into a 13 but don’t underestimate the planning and bargaining potential of making any card a 13.
This is the real game-changing card and a relatively frequent card (there are 6 Lobby Day cards in the deck). So make sure you trade your paper strategically. The only thing money can’t buy is sense!
A very synergistic card, if you can nab this and the other populist cards, you’ll get your voice heard!
Getting information into other people’s hands is great. What’s even better is leveraging this information. Don’t just get the scoop on the winning player, offer that information up in exchange for cooperation, leniency, or even votes!
Be creative and remember you’re under oath when giving a testimony. You wouldn’t lie, right? Or can you get away with it?
A high-powered card that synergizes well with other populist cards. What isn’t there to love?
POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
Are things not going your way? Don’t worry we can run out the session instead. Using this card earlier might be a decent way to get a better hand if the rest of your previous rounds aren’t up to snuff.
A rare high-powered card to be used very wisely. You’ll probably want to save this for a later round. Stop things from getting too crazy and bring order back to session!
A powerful card that helps a little. If you have a judicial card in your hand, avoid placing your blue token on this card. If you played a card with a power of 10, try to bring that card to 11! Your Judicial card will thank you.
A powerful card with a situation effect with devastating consequences. Remember that you don’t have to play a Legislative card, any card with a value of 11 when this is played is fair game!
Also, you can repeat this effect for each card that’s worth 11 points!
Home of the White House and the most powerful position in the U.S. of A! Use this wisely and execute the law!
