The Problem
3 out of 4 adults are not able to name the three branches of government.
Only 22% of American students are testing proficient in civics.
Our nation lacks basic civic competence.
Without effective civics; misinformation, miscomprehension of process, and civic apathy flourish. At the forefront of this stall in civic understanding, are outdated instruction materials. An unengaged civics classroom leads to an unengaged populace, a fundamental threat to democracy.
Our Solution
The Process
The Process is a card game that uses political maneuvers and trivia to help teach the legislative process in a fun and engaging way.
The game design of the Process enables educators to teach students the legislative process through engrossing social strategy gameplay. The Process will promote student engagement in civics content and encourage life long involvement in their community.
The Process demonstrates both the importance of civics and the exciting nature of community decision making.
